Solstice Brewfest celebrates arrival of summer

| June 19, 2025 12:00 AM

It’s time to celebrate the official arrival of summer at the 2025 Summer Solstice Festival and Brewfest, 2-6 p.m. June 21 at the Ronan fairgrounds. For the third year in a row, the Ronan Chamber of Commerce is hosting this family-friendly event with a theme of Brews, Bites and Beats.

“We are so excited for the Summer Solstice Festival,” said Ronan Chamber of Commerce President Katie Elliott. “It is a great way to connect with friends, enjoy outstanding music, and sample brews from across the region.”

Justin Harris and the Pocket Aces deliver a mixture of swinging rockabilly, country, and classic rock ‘n roll, and singer and songwriter Joe Martinez plays original country and blues that reflect his life growing up in Montana. Based out of Idaho, Current Flow combines musical genres, including rock, funk, blues and mountain reggae.

Highlighting local musicians is another festival tradition, and this year’s featured performer is Coleton Sherman.

“I can’t wait for everyone to hear this mixture of music from such talented artists,” Elliott said. “They have distinct styles that will entertain and uplift the audience.”

Along with a full schedule of music, the festival offers a diverse sample of beer from breweries across Montana. “Whether you prefer an IPA or a stout, there is the perfect beer for every palate,” Elliott said. “For those who are unsure of how different craft beers taste, this is the ideal place for discovering what you like.”

A variety of food trucks will also be present.

Tickets are $45 for brews and music or $10 for music only.

From its inception, the Ronan Chamber of Commerce has sought to provide a safe, family-friendly event at a reasonable cost.

“This is small town American at its best,” Elliott said. “A low-key day for people to gather, visit, have a bite, sample a beverage, listen to music, and remember that life under the Big Sky is truly beautiful.”

She notes that volunteers play a major role in the event’s success, as well as the Ronan Fairgrounds, the city of Ronan, and Chamber of Commerce businesses. Learn more at montanabrewfest.com.
