Law roundup: Vehicle with stolen registration sticker stopped

Kalispell Police Department reportedly stopped a vehicle with a permanent license plate and a stolen registration sticker that had expired. The driver was also warned for not having a driver’s license with him.

A man allegedly under investigation for elder abuse of a woman he was purportedly set to marry on her birthday called police, wanting to report her as missing since he had not spoken to her for several months. Officers spoke with one of the woman’s relative’s who reportedly said she was a drug user and was being taken care of. Officers relayed the information to the man but did not disclose her location.

A woman was reportedly hitting a man, who was trying to get out of a gray Ford SUV that pulled over at a house after driving erratically. The man and a child got out and walked away. She then drove away. Officers took her to jail.

A woman with a handicapped placard reportedly thought it gave her free rein to park in the striped lines of a handicapped parking spot, blocking in a truck parked correctly. The woman came out of a store when officers pulled up and was counseled about her parking choice.

A person was allegedly causing issues with the bathrooms at a park where tents were set up. Officers told a man and woman they were banned from the park for 24 hours. Officers also asked a Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputy to serve a citation to the woman.

A silver two-door Honda was reportedly left at a business with the key in the trunk for two days.

A grandparent with legal guardianship of a grandchild, who allegedly lived with a parent for the past couple of years, had concerns and questions about the child’s safety and possible removal.

Someone complaining about a neighbor’s beagle barking nonstop since the previous morning reportedly had concerns that the dog was being left unattended for days at a time due to the barking.
