LIBBY — Boe Miles pitched a complete game, allowing five hits, three earned runs with two walks and four strikeouts as the Libby Loggers defeated the Central Alberta Wolves 9-4 in the Big Bucks Tournament Sunday.

After being down 2-1 heading into the bottom half of the third inning, the Loggers (10-20) plated eight runs, highlighted by Aidan Rose’s two-run single. They capitalized on two Wolves’ errors.

Rose paced the Loggers offense out of the leadoff spot, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs. Tanner Wolfe reached base in all three of his at-bats, recording a double. He drew two walks and scored a run.

Bransen Holzer was a threat on the basepaths for the Loggers, stealing three bases and scoring twice. The Loggers were in motion all game, finishing with eight steals.

The Wolves (10-9) were first on the board after Paxton Overwater’s sacrifice fly and Hayden Sept’s RBI triple. Sept doubled in the seventh inning for his second hit of the game and came around to score on Jett Reberger’s sacrifice fly.
