PULLMAN, Wash. — Adrian Dalton threw five innings of shutout ball and held the Kalispell A Lakers to one hit in a decisive 8-0 Elevate Fahy win in American Legion baseball Saturday.

Elevate (20-6) opened the scoring in the first inning, when the first two runners reached base on singles and came around to score on Owen Poort’s 2-run double. After a hit-by-pitch, Theo Silas doubled home another run for a 3-0 lead.

Beau McEwen took the mound for the Lakers (23-20), allowing 10 hits, four walks and six earned runs over 4 1-3 innings. Theo Silas led all hitters, going 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs.

Carter Winnington went 1-for-1, recording the only hit for the Lakers, a base hit in the top of the third inning. The Lakers didn’t record a hit after that, with a couple of players reaching base via walks.
