Law roundup: Man sheds civility over neighbor’s building
A man allegedly told his neighbor he would “make him pay” regarding a shed they were building. They called the Kalispell Police Department, saying they had all the required permissions from the city and felt threatened. They were advised to seek a temporary restraining order.
A woman driving through a parking lot reportedly almost hit another car and was seen drinking an alcoholic iced tea beverage with a minor in the backseat, who was also drinking.
A woman called the police, allegedly voicing suspicion that a group of 10 people who walked into a restaurant were “illegal.” When asked why she thought that, she reportedly said it seemed “weird” to her that the party of 10 came into the restaurant at the same time.
A shirtless, tattooed man in a gold Chevy pickup reportedly yelled and “laid hands” on a woman, threatening her, and then threatened another woman’s husband because he said he was calling 911. The shirtless man also reportedly took away the woman’s keys and phone.
A bearded man in his 40s allegedly yelled at someone, saying he had a gun, then left in a gray transit van with dealer license plates.
A busybody asked officers to check whether tents, a grill and a camper set up on the front lawn of a high school were for a school function or if it was a homeless encampment. The setup was for a wrestling camp.
Officers received a later call from someone who wanted to “make sure that it was legal” for four tents to be set up in the grass by the high school.
A man allegedly rode a bicycle to a store that an employee thought was stolen.
A dark red pickup reportedly backed into a silver SUV and left the scene.
