Law roundup: Man balks at $5 bill

A man allegedly refused to leave a drive-thru because he “didn't like the $5 bill he received in change.” The finicky man left before officers arrived. 

Two male teenagers in a black midsized Chevy truck allegedly assaulted someone and stole their wallet and skateboard before heading eastbound on Idaho Street. The teens were described as approximately 16 or 17 and one teen had longer curly brown hair and the other a shaved head. The skateboard has black wheels and a Hawaiian-themed palm tree design on the bottom.  

A woman reportedly found a stick with a hypodermic needle taped to it in the street and moved it in her yard so children wouldn’t find it. 

A resident alleged that homeless people were ripping branches off pine trees on his property, ruining them. 

A man called officers claiming that every vehicle that drove by him was stalking him and thought the alleged stalkers were now using airplanes. 

A man reportedly punched a woman in the face during an argument near a drive-thru. 

A man took his dog to the animal hospital for a wound to its chest after it was reportedly shot with a BB gun. The man suspected a neighbor shot the dog.   

A woman was reportedly trespassing at a church where she threatened someone.   

An alleged shoplifter was initially cooperative but changed his tune and began yelling in a manager’s face. The agitated man, who reportedly had one theft conviction and two disorderly convictions, was taken to jail.  

A man and woman allegedly shoplifted a pillow, clothing and other items before leaving and going back into the store where they proceeded to yell at employees. Officers ticketed and released the pair, who were told they were permanently banned from being on the store's property. 

Two teens were ticketed and released for stealing BuzzBallz, a canned malt beverage. They were also banned from the location for a year. 

About $13,500 in cash was reported stolen. 

A man reportedly used a location’s bathroom and when he left there was an odor of burnt rubber. When someone asked if a man was OK, he said he was just high and they thought he used methamphetamine.  Meanwhile, a passenger in the car he arrived in was allegedly passed out. Officers ticketed him for drug paraphernalia and he was released. Officers also confirmed a warrant for a woman at the scene.
