Four Frontier teams selected to Women’s NAIA tourney field

Two days after claiming the Frontier Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship Providence now knows its next opponent: College of Idaho.


The No. 12 seed Yotes make the trip to Great Falls for the first round of the Women’s NAIA Basketball Tournament. 


Also earning spots in the field are Rocky Mountain College, Carroll College and Montana Tech. 


The Orediggers make the field for the first time since 2011 as a No. 13 seed and travel to take on Dakota State in the first round in Madison, SD. 


The Bears earn a No. 9 seed after their runner-up finish at the Frontier Conference Tournament. They take on St. Francis (Ill.) in the first round in Sioux Center, Iowa. 


Carroll slots into the field as a No. 10 seed with a first-round matchup with Wayland Baptist (Texas) in Ashland, Ore. 


The first and second rounds take place on March 14 and 15 with the winners heading to Sioux City, Iowa to compete for the championship March 20-25.
