Montana Tech earns lone Frontier bid to Men’s NAIA tourney
Montana Tech earned a No. 6 seed in the men’s NAIA basketball tournament Thursday evening.
The Orediggers — who claimed the Frontier tournament title for the fourth straight season on Tuesday — make the journey to Santa Clarita for their opening round matchup with Southern Oregon. A win over the Raiders sets up a second-round game against either No. 14 seed Dakota Wesleyan or No. 3 seed The Masters (Calif.).
Montana Tech was the lone current Frontier Conference representative selected to the tournament, though soon-to-be Frontier member Dickinson State also earned a spot in the field.
The Blue Hawks picked up a No. 15 seed and take on Dordt (Iowa) in the first round in Sioux Center, Iowa.
