One-of-a-kind act, Collision of Rhythm, to perform in Whitefish
Whitefish Theatre Company presents musical duo and all-around entertainers, Collision of Rhythm, in the final installment of their 2024-25 music series.
Described as “the most mind-blowing act of the new millennium," this dynamic duo will perform at 7:30 p.m. May 1 at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
Described as Stomp meets Blue Man meets Cirque du Soleil, Collision of Rhythm is a duo comprised of tap-dancing classical virtuoso, Aaron Williams, and beatbox-juggling musician, Bronkar Lee. Though there are only two of them, they fill the stage as a 12-person ensemble would, moving from instrument to instrument with a high level of skill and diversity. With drumming, tap dancing, rhythmic juggling, marimba, piano, saxophone, flute and so much more, this unique show is like nothing else out there — choreographed musical pieces, audience interaction, humor, and personal stories that make this show all at once captivating, inspiring, and flat-out extraordinary.
Williams and Lee met unexpectedly at a TEDx event in Hollywood and discovered an immediate musical synergy, leading to the creation of Collision of Rhythm. Aaron Williams cultivated a rich musical background as a virtuosic tap dancer and multi-instrumentalist. His performing journey began in college with "Sticks of Thunder," where he showcased his skills as a xylophone soloist and steel drum player. His dedication to tap dance led him to Rhapsody in Taps and collaborations with groups like Tap Sounds Underground and Tap Con Sabor. Williams is also trained in classical music, jazz, and rudimental percussion.
Lee's path to Collision of Rhythm was equally dynamic, starting in circus arts and theater. He established himself as a beatbox artist and juggler, even gracing prominent stages like Madison Square Garden and was even featured in a Super Bowl commercial. Lee was also President of the Georgia National Speakers' Association, highlighting his public speaking prowess. Their diverse yet complementary backgrounds laid the foundation for the innovative and captivating performances that define Collision of Rhythm.
Together, they have garnered significant acclaim, performing for major corporations like GoPro and Coca Cola, appearing on "The Tonight Show" and "America's Got Talent."
