Paddling Film Festival to benefit River Alliance, Kayak Academy
Flathead Rivers Alliance and Montana Kayak Academy present the 20th annual Paddling Film Festival at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish, on Friday, May 2, from 7-9 p.m.
The Paddling Film Festival is an international adventure film tour which presents the world’s best paddling films of the year, from whitewater to sea kayaking, canoeing, rafting, SUP, action and lifestyle around the world. Audiences will see expert whitewater showcases, motivating environmental documentaries, epic standup paddle boarding quests and grueling kayak fishing battles.
The event will kick off the 2025 rivers season. Proceeds from film and raffle tickets go to support Flathead Rivers Alliance and Montana Kayak Academy's education, stewardship and science non-profit work on local rivers.
With raffle prizes worth $5,000 plus up for grab, ranging from a flight into Schafer Meadow with Red Eagle Aviation, YETI gear, whitewater and scenic float packages, fishing and paddling bundles, Under the Big Sky tickets, kayak intro lessons, packraft and boat rentals, it’s a win-win.
Catch up with your presenting hosts, American Packrafting Association and the river community in the lobby while toasting to the rivers.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Doors open at 5 p.m.
