Pack makes short work of Knights

MISSOULA — Olivia Warriner threw a five-inning two-hitter, Nakiah Persinger had two hits during Glacier’s nine-run third inning and the Wolfpack downed Missoula Hellgate 11-1 in Western AA softball Tuesday.

Persinger led off the third with a single, scored on Karley’s two-run base hit and added a two-run single as Glacier (15-3 overall, 10-3 in Western A) went up 7-0.  

Cazz Rankosky followed Persinger with a two-run single to cap that rally, which included a two-run double from Kaydee Walcheck. 

Persinger, Allen and Walcheck all scored twice for the Pack. 

Warriner allowed two hits, including Shannon Kane’s solo home run in the third inning, and one walk to the Knights (3-13, 0-12 in league). She fanned seven. 

Glacier concludes its regular season with a Thursday home game against Missoula Sentinel.
