Mission Valley Choral Society concerts this weekend

Mission Valley Choral Society’s “Music In Our Hearts” spring concert weekend is 1 p.m., Saturday, May 10, at the St. Ignatius Mission and 4 p.m., Sunday, May 11, in Polson at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Longfellow’s quote “Music is the universal language of mankind” is exemplified in the 11 songs selected by Director Cathy Gillhouse to provide inspiring toe-tapping entertainment. The music list includes a traditional Newfoundland folk song, two songs based on famous poems, several popular rock songs, spirituals and hymns. 

Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering will be taken on Saturday to help the choir with music expenses. The Sunday free-will offering will benefit Helping Hands of Mission Valley.
