Law roundup: Mon blocks private drive for school pick up

A resident allegedly had had enough of an entitled woman parking her  GMC Denali in front of their driveway, waiting for her child to get out of school, and called the Kalispell Police Department, saying they had asked her to move and not park there multiple times. An officer told her not to block driveways and to find a different place to wait to pick up her child.

A car hauler driving on an inside lane allegedly miscalculated the height of a bridge and needed assistance backing up, as the hauler was too tall to go under it.

A man was reportedly heard yelling, screaming and throwing things around in an apartment. When officers knocked on the front door, a neighbor allegedly saw people flee out the back and get in a blue Subaru Impreza. Officers found the back door open and cleared the house.  

A man carrying a guitar and standing in front of a building reportedly asked someone to call for an ambulance, but they didn’t see any open wounds and told officers they thought he was on drugs, although they didn’t see any drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the hospital for a possible broken hand.

A woman was reportedly out $3,000 after trying to buy dogs from a man in Kentucky who asked for the money over the phone and called the police because she thought she was being scammed.

Extra patrols were requested to locate dumpster divers.

A man in his 20s allegedly set up camp outside the door of a driver’s services facility. The incident was resolved, and a police response was not needed. 

Someone reportedly found their truck windshield smashed.

A man who allegedly stole a $30 charger was spotted sitting in the passenger seat of a car parked at a gas pump. The man, who allegedly had one prior theft listed in his background, was banned from all the gas station locations. 

A man, who was a “tad agitated,” reportedly showed up at the police department lobby looking for a list of locations he had been banned from.

A woman, who was allegedly affected by financial fraud, had questions about her passport being valid since she was traveling. Officers told her her passport should not be affected.

A woman initially reported her wallet was stolen out of her purse while shopping, but she didn’t see it happen, then called 911 when she found it.

Two cooperative women were ticketed for shoplifting and banned from the store.
