Law roundup: Woman encouraged to stay out of trouble
A woman reportedly yelled and screamed in a parking lot and was spotted getting into vehicles. She reportedly stole two jackets from a truck and started running with her arms full when someone yelled at her to get away from their car. No one wanted to press charges and officers gave her a ride to a fast-food restaurant, encouraging her to “stay out of trouble."
Two men were reportedly throwing things at each other on a sidewalk piled with clothing. One of the men had lost his blue nose pit bull, which ran away.
A man reportedly lost his wallet after shopping. Putting on his detective hat, he told police that he suspected he had dropped his wallet and there were two men playing guitars and other “odd looking individuals” nearby who may have stolen it.
A woman wanted to know if she should call 911 if a man allegedly wanted for assaulting an employee showed up for work. Her questions were answered.
A resident spotted a loose black boxer with a white chest in their yard.
An employee allegedly wanted a trio of teens to be kicked off the property one night when a boy threatened to fight them and a red-haired girl tipped over a trash can in front of the building. The youths got into an old Crown Victoria and sped away without turning on the lights.
Five “young guys” dressed in black were reportedly yelling, wandering around and “getting into things” then laid down in the middle of the road, which a delivery driver found odd and called the police. While they weren’t doing anything illegal, officers counseled them about their behavior.
