GLASGOW — Troy’s softball season ended in walk-off fashion Friday, the Lady Trojans splitting a pair of one-run games at the State B/C tournament.

Troy rode Lindsey Gravier’s complete game to a 4-3 win over Glasgow to start things Friday, before Mission-Arlee-Charlo scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to prevail 6-5 in another loser-out contest.

The Lady Trojans ended their first state-tournament season 19-9. Mission-Arlee-Charlo advanced to a loser-takes-fourth game against Florence. That game had not ended at press time.

Troy 4, Glasgow 3

Gravier scattered eight hits and three walks and struck out two against the Scotties and helped her own cause with a bases-loaded single that put her team up 2-1 in the second inning.

Troy had the lead for good. Ellie Borgmann added an RBI single in the fifth inning to put the Lady Trojans up 3-1 and another in the seventh to make it 4-2.

Glasgow got a run-scoring single from Kelbi Wersal with two out in the bottom of the seventh, but Gravier got the next hitter to fly out to end it.

MAC 6, Troy 5

Troy led 2-0, trailed 4-2 and then scored single runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings to lead 5-4.

Doubles from Gravier and Kirsti Jellesed sparked the Lady Trojans’ first inning; Borgmann tripled and scored on Tana Grant’s groundout in the fourth, and Halle Wallace’s RBI single knotted the score 4-4 in the sixth.

In the seventh, Gravier hit a solo home run to left to give Troy the lead.

But in its half of the seventh MAC got three straight hits with one out. Back-to-back doubles from Amelia Cronk and Kensey Burke ended it.

Gravier went the distance, allowing 12 hits, three walks and three earned runs in 6 1-3 innings. She struck out four.
