Violent rhetoric

With violent outbursts on campuses and in city streets, no one should be surprised that an innocent young Jewish couple soon to be engaged were gunned down at a gathering at the Jewish Capital Museum, allegedly by a lunatic 31-year-old shouting, “Free, free Palestine.”  

His uttering sounds a lot like the campus demonstrations accompanied by violence that the left repeatedly describes as mostly peaceful demonstration (much as they did with George Floyd). As these campus snowflakes call for violence against Jews and the elimination of the state of Israel (From the river to the sea and Intifada) is anyone surprised that eventually one or more unhinged susceptible idiots would seek out a Jewish site and murder innocent civilians. After all, many of these demonstrators see nothing wrong with the Oct. 7 Hamas murder of over 1,200 innocents as a prime example of justified Intifada.  

Just as the liberal left and the media found nothing wrong with Chuck Schumer, Senate minority leader, standing on the steps of the Supreme Court and saying, “I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price.  You won’t know what hit you . . .” and with Comey, former FBI director, posting online a picture of seashells he “found on the beach” spelling “8647” possibly calling for the assassination of President Trump after two previous attempts on his life, the left will likely find favor with this murderer of Jews.  

Violent rhetoric stimulates weak minds to perform violent acts. Repeated calls for violence against Jews will likely result in more violent acts, unless there are consequences for rhetoric which the left excuses as First Amendment free speech. Rubbish!

Tapper’s book

CNN reporter Jake Tapper’s new book has left a nasty taste in my mouth, has terrified me and left me with a heartache. 

The whole current debacle of a presidency has been a shock to this country, to our sense of decency, our freedom and our safety, and now, to have to watch a good man, an honored statesman, a vice president and president, and probably an entire country be taken down is simply astonishing.

Tapper has displayed insensitivity and absolute disregard of President Biden’s protected right to privacy. To hit a revered president in such a way is unprofessional and disgusting. To smear aging, health and a disabling condition across the worldwide wireless is unthinkable. To call it a cover up is a cruel display of self-interest. Why? To make money? Notoriety? Another award?

What truly appalls me is the bigger and much more dangerous White House cover up. That we have a liar for a president, a resentful and impulsive child whose every act is an attempt to punish and destroy, is beyond belief, shocking. Why is that ignored?

I dropped out in the 60s and I’m considering it again because we have a sickening state of affairs in this country that has made a mockery of democracy and destroyed our sense of safety and security in the world. Who and what is left in America to be trusted?

I hope Mr. Tapper is satisfied with having contributed to American’s feelings of despair and heartbreak.
