Law roundup: A man sitting at a bar gets accosted
A man called the Kalispell Police Department, claiming he was sitting at the bar when multiple men approached him, grabbed his throat and dragged him out to his car. He reportedly told an officer that he was taken by surprise as he had not been asked to leave. The bar manager, however, allegedly told the officer he had asked the man to leave multiple times. Out in the parking lot, the man reportedly spat in the manager’s face, who responded by shoving him to get him away from him. Another bar patron then reportedly attacked the man and the manager broke up the altercation. The manager said he would get police video footage of the incident as soon as possible. The man at the center of the fracas said he wanted to press charges.
Somone honked at a friend when a man two parking spots over allegedly got out of a white pickup and yelled him. When they told him to go away, he reportedly pulled up his shirt, revealing a gun tucked in his waistband. The man was described as heavyset, bald and had a “chin beard.” An officer spoke with them and their father who did not want to pursue charges.
Dispatchers reportedly received three 911 hangups from the same phone number and on the callback, got a busy tone. A child reportedly had a hold of the phone and there was no emergency, according to a responding officer.
A medical patient reportedly called 911 because he wanted loud music turned down and an IV removed from his arm and asked to be connected with admissions. When he was advised to press the call button for a nurse, he said he already did, but no one came. When advised that 911 operators do not dispatch services within the hospital, he hung up.
Officers issued a warning to a driver for not having headlights.
Three men in a Ford pickup allegedly walked up to a man’s vehicle and suspiciously looked inside. The caller said one of the men looked intoxicated.
