Columbia Falls High School Bond Fails

The Columbia Falls School District 6 bond request to remodel the high school appears to have failed.
With preliminary results in as of 8:51 p.m Tuesday, the vote was 2,913 against and 1,334 for the $84.4 million request.
The Flathead County Public Safety Bond request to build a new $105 million detention center passed, with 15,996 for and 11,869 against.
In the Columbia Falls City Council election, Mayor Don Barnhart garnered 934 votes (unopposed); councilwoman Paula Robinson 655, Hannah Pennington 408, Christopher Semok 453 and Marijke Stob, 595 in preliminary results. Pennington did not actively seek office and did not campaign.
The top three get council seats.
