Incumbents win Whitefish City Council election

Whitefish City Councilors Giuseppe Caltabiano, Ben Davis and Andy Feury have been re-elected to serve additional four-year terms. The fourth candidate for City Council and the only non-incumbent challenger, Nathan Dugan, was 70 votes behind in Tuesday's mail-in election. 

Davis received the most votes (1,569), followed by Feury (1,337) and Caltabiano (1,257). Dugan received 1,187 votes. 

About 23% of Whitefish voters voted for only one or two candidates. 

A Public Safety Facility Bond for a new Flathead County jail passed with 18,340 for and 13,568 against.
