A New York transplant earned a warning from the Kalispell Police Department after an officer caught him speeding and making an improper right-hand turn. The motorist told the officer that he had just moved from the Empire State and had yet to register his vehicle in Montana.

A thief put fraudulent charges on someone's debit card, racking up $509.99 in charges.

Spotting a man slumped over in a gray Dodge Ram parked in a lot, a passerby phoned the police. A dog was also in the vehicle, they said. Officers learned that the man was just trying to grab a few winks.

A motorist got a warning for speeding.

After weeks of screaming at a nearby apartment, the sound of a window breaking was the final straw for a neighbor, who told police they were worried that someone was dead. Officers noted the broken window and made contact with the apartment's inhabitants. They told officers that the window had cracked some time ago and the wind had finally finished the job of breaking it. They had already alerted the building manager.

Personnel at a medical facility asked the authorities for help with removing a patient. Though discharged, the patient refused to leave for some unknown reason. Officers moved the man outside.

Seeing a man remove the plates from a vehicle, tuck them under his shirt and take off on foot struck an onlooker as suspicious. They told dispatchers they suspected the man was on the run from the police. Officers were unable to locate the man, who was described as wearing jeans and a dark long sleeve shirt.

Concerned about a man in the neighborhood, a resident phoned with his address and some questions.

Security personnel phoned the police, saying they had been told to contact the department if a specific man returned to their location. The man in question was currently sitting by the fireplace. Officers escorted the man to the county jail.
