Law roundup: Woman bites back in defense of her dog
A bicyclist was riding along when a dog from a house in the area reportedly started following him, trying to bite his ankles. He got off his bicycle and tried to chase the ankle biter away when the dog owner began yelling at him and got into a white Dodge Ram and followed him, where an argument ensued. He told her he was calling the Kalispell Police Department and she got back into the truck and sped off.
The bicyclist did not comment on whether or not she tried to run him over and didn’t want to pursue charges; he just wanted her to leave him alone.
A concerned parent allegedly thought a neighbor was stalking his son when he would get off the school bus and was concerned the neighbor was trying to lure him into their home and had been having other neighbors walk the child home.
A couple was allegedly engaged in intercourse in the grass. A responding officer attempted to make contact with two individuals, who appeared to be getting dressed, when they were dispatched to a call with higher priority. Officers were unable to later locate the couple.
Someone moving to the area reportedly called the police with specific questions about the crime rate. Their questions were answered.
A woman’s $115 zip-up hoodie with a print of the Virgin Mary was reportedly stolen from her hotel room. She told police that nothing else was missing and was more concerned about someone having access to her room as she was traveling alone. The hoodie was reportedly located in the laundry facility, according to the manager.
A necklace was reported stolen.
