Law roundup: Drowsy driver hits mile marker
A woman allegedly “fell asleep for a moment” driving southbound on U.S. 93 and veered off the road, hitting and breaking a mile marker that damaged her windshield.
Someone had questions about rabbits and requested a call from the animal control officer.
Two people allegedly showed up at someone’s apartment, threatening a roommate and brandishing a pistol. They told officers that they weren’t at the scene when the incident occurred and saw it unfold through a doorbell camera. They said the individual with the pistol didn't point it at anyone, but “made it very obvious they had one.”
Someone complained about a green truck allegedly parking in their spot at an apartment complex with an address that could not be verified by dispatch. Officers drove through the area and did not see any parking issues.
A woman in a park reportedly had three dogs off leash that tried to approach someone who called the police about what sounded like an ongoing issue.
A man, who appeared to be driving drunk, reportedly drove through the grass and parked in a way that blocked the road and prevented traffic from getting through.
An employee called officers to have a beige vehicle with a broken axle towed from a parking lot where the surrounding road was set to be repaved. A man walked up to the responding officer and asked for the rest of the day to figure out a way to get the vehicle, which they recently purchased, towed.
A civil standby was requested from someone reportedly trying to get their belongings to move out of the house who was now stuck in an argument with their mother and aunt. An officer spoke with the mother, who allegedly agreed to allow the individual to return and collect their belongings without any interaction.
An abandoned white SUV had reportedly sat at a location since before Halloween and might have been growing cobwebs.
