A woman whacked a dumpster with a baseball bat, causing a property manager, who initially thought she had a metal pole, to call the Kalispell Police Department. They said they were unsure if she was swinging at the dumpster or at nearby cars. Right off the bat, responding officers advised her to stop even if she was upset.

A woman allegedly attacked someone, throwing hot water in their face and threatening them twice with an iron pan. The victim told police that the outburst was over their best friend. She was taken to jail for assault and left to simmer.

A drunk man, who was found with a Twisted Tea and a Buzz Ball, drove a white truck in circles around a house every couple of minutes.

A woman released from jail was going hunting the next day and called the police department wanting a civil standby to grab her firearms because she didn’t want issues with the resident in the house. An officer explained that law enforcement would only come to the house for her to pick up basic living essentials and that if she was allowed on the property, she would be able to grab anything she needs.

Someone allegedly thought their sister-in-law was getting scammed by a “lieutenant at KPD” when she wouldn’t get out of her car and held up a note asking them to call 911. They said she had been acting strangely for the past few hours. A responding officer got on the phone and the scammer hung up. The woman was advised on how to recognize scams.

Someone asked officers to check on an elderly neighbor’s welfare after allegedly hearing her screaming. The neighbor had since come out, but only to say that she was scared. They expressed concerns that she was a victim of elder abuse. The lights were off, and everything appeared to be in order from outside to the police.

Officers warned one driver about having expired vehicle registration and another driver about their speed.
