Law roundup: They don't even work here

| November 26, 2025 12:00 AM

Two people among a gaggle of teens were allegedly wearing vests and trying to impersonate store employees. The business wanted them kicked off the property.

The passenger of a swerving white Audi that was driving erratically was reportedly hanging out the window, screaming at another driver and flipping them off. The driver called the Kalispell Police Department, concerned that they were drunk.

A manager closing up a store for the night was suspicious of large trucks that had been parked along the curb out front for about 10 minutes. One of the occupants reportedly got out and rattled the doors. The manager said each vehicle was occupied by one driver, who looked like they were in high school, and requested that an officer move them along so they could get to their vehicle without incident. Parties were moved along.

An employee with a masonry company reportedly told police a vehicle drove through the fence and the property during the night.

A parent, whose 18-year-old son was allegedly insulting them, talking back and getting in their face, was tired of the maltreatment and asked police to escort the young man out of their apartment. Officers told the parent they would need to start the eviction process to have him removed based on the complaint of maltreatment.

Officers stopped a vehicle, issuing a warning about running a red light, and corralled another vehicle for speeding.

A caller was concerned that a little brown fluffy puppy had reportedly been locked in a car underneath a pile of blankets and clothes for two hours. An officer located the puppy inside a dog kennel in the back seat of the car and noted it did not appear to be in distress. The officer spoke with the car owner, who said he had recently arrived at the location and the dog had food, water and “did not need anything.”

Someone stole a beer.

Officers received a later report of two minors stealing doughnuts. And if that wasn’t enough, the scamps started yelling and flipping off an employee as they left, getting into a dark-colored Toyota 4Runner.
