Law roundup: Stolen vehicle in aisle two
Someone called the Kalispell Police Department because they felt a man’s ongoing name-calling was “threatening in nature.”
A man used a phone at a grocery store to call the police and report that his middle-aged, stocky friend had stolen his pickup. Officers had spotted the truck with two men inside it 10 minutes before his call.
Someone left a hammer behind that they allegedly used to pry a screen off a window to unlock it, bending the frame in the process.
A man and woman, who appeared drunk, were allegedly fighting and yelling at each other and then getting into a white Ram with a roof rack and guard on the front. The Ram swerved all over the road as the couple drove off.
Someone was concerned about animal cruelty after reportedly hearing a puppy in a neighbor’s backyard “crying” for an hour and a half, saying it was an ongoing issue. No one appeared to be home when an officer stopped by, and they didn’t hear any noise until they knocked on the door.
A man in his 40s was allegedly yelling at people, including someone who called the police and said he yelled at them to get away from him and that he was going to kill them.
A man allegedly thought artificial intelligence was being used against him and his information was being phished on websites like Facebook. An officer told him to stop using the websites he thought were phishing for his information.
Officers stopped a silver Volkswagen SUV, and later a white Ford, issued warnings for having expired vehicle registration.
