A man was suspicious that his neighbor had stolen his missing cat and filed an online report with the Kalispell Police Department. He told officers that his wife would have more information. She alleged that her neighbor “originally” stole her cat four years ago. She also suspected that the cat had been killed last week and disposed of in a garbage can, which he “rushed” to the garbage truck, but did not have any evidence for her claims. She told officers that they had been cordial neighbors up until the 2024 presidential election, which had led to arguments. Officers advised her that without evidence they could not issue a ticket for theft.

An individual wearing a bright blue sweatshirt and blue jeans was reportedly chanting and yelling across the street from a property he had been kicked off of the previous week. The caller, who said they were a pastor, asked officers to check on his welfare, alleging he was a known drug user. The chanting man left before the police arrived.

Someone allegedly broke into a vehicle and stole a handgun and the contents of a purse that was found in the grass. The owner reported the theft to police, saying her ID and other items were missing from the purse and said a neighbor might have footage from a security camera.

A tan Chevy Silverado that leaked a lot of transmission fluid had been left on a street since Sept. 20.

A woman’s sister was reportedly trying to leave with her children, but her vehicle was blocked in by a silver pickup belonging to one of her boyfriend’s relatives.

A man called officers for assistance after a woman ended an online relationship because he had sent her nude photos that she threatened to send to other people, including a minor. With her identification and home address unknown, officers said they would be unable to charge her, but would document the incident, telling him if the harassment continued to gather as much information for law enforcement to attempt to identify her and move forward with charges. Officers counseled him about his behavior and advised him to block her on social media and her phone number.
