Law roundup: Vehicle attacked with a bottle in Kalispell
A driver and a passenger allegedly attacked someone’s vehicle with a bottle. No damages or injuries were reported.
A woman called the Kalispell Police Department, saying she was hiding in some bushes and when a dispatcher asked her for more information she said, “Just men” and hung up. She reportedly told an officer that what she wanted to talk about did not make any sense and was going to walk home.
A woman scratched profanities into someone’s truck.
Someone got into a woman’s car and turned on her dome light. She didn’t see anything but thought officers should drive through the area as she could hear a car alarm going off in the area. People told officers there was a white pickup driving in the area that might be related to her report.
A man allegedly harassed an ex, sending 29 text messages over six and half hours, starting at 2 a.m. The last text stated he was upstairs in her house while she was not home. She was advised not to return home until she spoke to responding officers. The man was ticketed for trespassing and released.
Someone with concerns about public safety asked the police to call the registered owner of a light green vehicle, letting them know they had no brake lights.
A woman detained a smaller black Labrador running outside her house on her front porch. A later call came in from the dog’s owner who was looking for the missing pet. They were put in touch with the woman.
A manager advised officers he kicked a man in a green pickup off the property, who was headed northbound.
A driver allegedly headed to the Police Department after a white pickup had been following them, saying the truck was “right on their bumper” and honking. Eventually, the truck pulled off, but they continued to the station to speak with the police. Parties were counseled.
