Law Roundup: Mama bear and cubs lounging at City Beach

Whitefish Lake beach-goers reported a mama black bear and two cubs hanging around a public pavilion at City Beach.

A bishop asked Whitefish Police for help with moving some homeless people who were camped out on the church’s property. The church leaders expressed a desire for heightened security after a deadly attack on a church in Michigan earlier that day.

A suspicious white car driving around a neighborhood was just a lost Uber driver.

A resident picked up a friendly little Schnauzer that was injured.

The whereabouts of a visitor’s black wallet remained unknown. She last remembered having it at a downtown shop. Time was of the essence as she was set to fly out the next day.

It didn’t seem likely that an extremely intoxicated pedestrian was going to make it home for the night.

Police were called to check on a dog that was left inside a car downtown. It was 66 degrees and the dog — although wearing a coat — seemed totally fine.

A protective mother told police her son was “attacked” at a downtown bar the prior evening and had to get stitches.

An older man at a sports park was making creepy comments to kids and coaches all day.
