Law roundup: Woman cooks up pot pie theft
A woman called the Kalispell Police Department from a fast-food restaurant, repeating that she needed to be picked up by officers and taken to jail because she reportedly “took a chicken pot pie and ran.” Then, she ate the pie, which she allegedly stole from a location she knew she was trespassing in. Officers determined the alleged chicken pot pie theft at the location was unfounded.
Officers responded to a report of a man acting erratically and running around a parking lot after going into a pizza place asking employees to call the police. Then, he allegedly ran across U.S. 93 where it looked like he ran into a motel.
