The Kalispell Police Department received an online report from someone who allegedly thought it was odd to see a man leave a house officers had been to, carrying a chainsaw. Adding to their suspicion was that he lived with his parents, whom they reportedly hadn’t seen lately. Officers informed her that the tenants were recently evicted and shouldn’t be coming back to the location.

A package delivery driver reportedly requested that officers check on the welfare of a man slumped over the wheel of a white truck and holding a phone in his hand, who wasn’t responding. Officers located the truck. The driver seemed alert, although he appeared to be intoxicated.

Someone who reported a man passed out in a beat-up white GMC Sierra 1500 with a star on the side in the middle of an intersection who allegedly took off when an ambulance showed up, spotted him stumbling out of a gas station and then driving away on Third Avenue, East Washington Street and  Main Street, asking if they should follow the vehicle which had no lights on. They were advised not to.

Someone reportedly drove off with a gas nozzle in their tank.

A man called to report someone allegedly smoking weed in front of a property, but then changed his mind about having officers contact him because he “didn’t want to mess up someone’s day” if the dispatcher didn’t know if it was illegal or not and hung up before the dispatcher could get a description.

A child’s coat and the head of a child’s toy were spotted hanging inside a portable toilet near a pond by someone who thought it was suspicious after reading something on an app about an alleged abduction at a park and wondered if it was related, describing the last person they saw using the toilet. An officer contacted the caller, noting the large time gap during which the porta-potty was unsupervised and that the man they described entering the toilet did not match a description in a report made with Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. Other indicators led the officer to think this was unrelated to the report made to the sheriff's office.
