Are we safer?
One of the front-page headlines in the Jan. 6 issue of the Daily Inter Lake read, “Congressional delegation praises action in Venezuela.”
Sen. Steve Daines commended our president and military for helping to bring indicted narco-terrorist Maduro to justice and claimed the world is safer.
I am confused, Senator Daines. Juan Orlando Hernandez, former president of Honduras, was convicted in 2024 of cocaine trafficking in a U.S. court and sentenced to 45 years in prison. Hernandez was pardoned by President Trump and is free to return to his life as a narco-trafficker.
Can you explain how Americans are now safer?
