Law roundup: Truck left running for an hour in parking lot
A passerby called the Kalispell Police Department after noticing a new pickup in a parking lot that had been running with the headlights and cab lights on for more than an hour and appeared to be running low on fuel. They said they would try to locate security and eventually found an employee who said they would deal with it.
A man called officers to report that his girlfriend had been vandalizing the property where they lived, and there had been a fight hours ago, but he separated from her by going into his shop. He said she hadn’t sobered up in the three weeks since he picked her up at the airport. Initially, he didn’t want police to respond in person, saying he would spend the night at a hotel to let her sober up. But he changed his mind when he allegedly couldn’t leave the shop because she was throwing glass at the door.
