Law roundup: Soused son gets ride to police station

A father allegedly drove to the Kalispell Police Department, parked out front, and waited in the lobby to ask an officer to remove his very drunk son from his vehicle after he refused to get out.

Later, an officer out on patrol spotted a man lying on the ground between a bar and a gas station and a woman tapping him with her foot, when a truck pulled up. The man, who was purportedly soused, told the officer the woman had been kicking him and claimed he fell because the truck sped toward him, trying to hit him. Then, he claimed he accidentally slammed either his girlfriend’s hand or her head in a vehicle door. She didn’t want to go home with him and another person said they would drive him to his mother’s house.
