After two years of searching for a man who had apparently wronged her, a woman found him in the Kalispell. She told the Kalispell Police Department that he had warrants out of California and was likely driving a stolen burgundy Dodge Ram. While authorities confirmed the warrants and California's willingness to extradite, officers unsuccessfully tried to locate the man. She warned the officers he likely would go on the run, taking off under the cover of darkness. If possible, she wanted to see him in prison for the rest of his life.

In Flathead County District Court over a temporary restraining order, a man was surprised to find himself the victim of a theft. He told the police that he believed the "punk kid" the other party in the proceedings had hired for personal security swiped it. Officers first contacted the other party, who said they did not have the jacket and did not remember the victim wearing anything other than a suit that day. She suspected the victim had made the whole thing up to mess with her. But a review of video taken at the court showed the private security guard grabbing the jacket and leaving the courtroom. It was agreed that he would mail the jacket back to the victim.

Following up on a complaint from employees of the state Department of Transportation, officers found a couple of blankets and a backpack near the Parkline Trail.

When their Ring camera picked up a couple of officers at the front door, a homeowner phoned the Police Department to find out what was going on.

Seeing what looked like a cow in distress, a passerby alerted the authorities. They said it looked as though the cow was stuck on a fence. Officers determined the cow was fine — it had its head through a feeder.

Walking through an alleyway in downtown Kalispell, a pedestrian noticed a man in a black vehicle following along and filming him. The pedestrian told officers that he opted against confronting the aspiring Steven Spielberg but was worried that the man now knew where he lived. Officials recommended he stay alert and call back if he saw the man again.

Officers seized a fake license plate during a traffic stop near a college.

A stranger in a tan Audi bearing California plates pulled up to a pedestrian and asked if they knew where someone could buy drugs. Spooked, the pedestrian phoned the authorities while tailing the Audi.

Another bystander phoned the police after seeing a motorist drive past while smoking what looked to them like a crack pipe.
