On April 27, 2026, NorthWestern Energy (“NorthWestern”) filed its 2026 Integrated Resource Plan (“2026 IRP”) with the Montana Public Service Commission (“Commission”). The 2026 IRP evaluates different potential generation resources that could meet the needs of NorthWestern’s electric service customers in Montana over the next 20 years. According to the 2026 IRP, NorthWestern has enough capacity to meet reliability requirements today but identifies a near-term capacity need emerging in winter 2027, driven by expiring contracts and growing customer demand. The 2026 IRP does not identify specific new resources for addition to NorthWestern’s resource portfolio.  2. After reviewing the 2026 IRP and considering public comment, the Commission may identify deficiencies in the 2026 IRP, including non-compliance with Commission rules, and ways to remedy the deficiencies. NO. 32148 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES The SOMERS WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT in Flathead County is soliciting proposals from engineering firms for design and construction services for its Public Water System Improvements project. The District will require assistance with design, the bidding process, and construction contract administration for completion of water system improvements. One or more projects may be pursued at the discretion of the District and may be awarded to more than one firm based on expertise for the project. Projects include, but are not limited to, a pipe replacement project, a well project, water rights assistance, and other water infrastructure needs identified by District.   Responses to this RFP should include: 1. The firm’s legal name, address and telephone number; 2. The principal(s) of the firm and their experience and qualifications; 3. The experience, qualifications and availability of the staff to be assigned to the project; 4. A description of the firm’s prior experience for similar projects, total construction cost and name of a local official knowledgeable of the firm’s performance. Include at least three (3) references; 5. A description of the firm’s current work activities and how these would be coordinated with the project as well as the firm’s anticipated availability during the term of the project with design starting in summer 2026; 6. A proposed work plan and schedule for the activities to be performed by project type; 7. A list of experience working in similar sized communities involving Public Water and Sewer Systems (include a contact telephone number.)
