State champion Vikings place 2 on All-State baseball team

Days after claiming its first state baseball championship over Dillon, Bigfork now has a pair of All-State selections as awards teams were announced Thursday.

Senior Haden Mayer and junior Mason Lewis were the two Vikings honorees as both first-team all-Northwest and All-State. Max Schara was named to the second-team, while Rye Rodriguez and Cavin Wiest were honorable mentions.

Columbia Falls also had a pair of All-State selections with Nico Young and Jett Pitts earning the honor. Jory Hill and Jaxson Cadwell were named second-team all-conference and Zeke Dunn and Tristan Victor were honorable mentions.

Eureka saw Rowan Burow and Tyce Van Orden named to the All-State squad. Rogan Lytle, Emmet McKim and Brody Chapman were second-team selections.

Polson saw Cody Haggard and Cole Wadsworth get the nod for All-State, with Pirates teammate Holden Emerson getting second-team honors.

Whitefish’s Tait Orme was the lone All-State choice for the Bulldogs. Reed Boyer and Carter Godsey were picked for the second team with Finn Ryan, Reyd Hobart and Luke Dalen getting honorable mentions.

Libby’s Bransen Holzer was a first-team all-conference selection with Loggers teammate Dalton Cannon being an honorable mention.
