Paddleheads sweep Range Riders
Xavier Casserilla drove in five runs as Missoula completed a three-game sweep of Glacier with a 13-1 Pioneer League victory Sunday afternoon at Glacier Bank Park.
The Paddleheads (11-7) scored five runs in the first inning and added six more in the third to build an 11-1 lead.
Casserilla finished 2 for 4 with a double, home run and five RBIs. Jeremy Piatkiewicz went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, while Enzo Apodaca scored three runs.
Missoula took advantage of three Glacier errors and drew 10 walks while collecting 10 hits.
Glacier's lone run came in the second inning when Joe McLaughlin hit a sacrifice fly to score Tommy Rover.
Donovan Ratfield led the Range Riders (12-6) by going 2 for 4. Rover and McLaughlin each doubled.
Luke Wechsler earned the win after allowing one run on four hits over six innings while striking out seven.
Evan Langston took the loss for Glacier.
The Range Riders open a six-game road series against Billings on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.

Piatkiewicz scored three runs and Apodaca drove in two as Missoula defeated Glacier in Pioneer League baseball Saturday night at Glacier Bank Park.
Missoula broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the fifth inning and added insurance runs in the seventh and ninth to build a 5-1 advantage.
Jacob Steele tied the game in the fourth with an RBI single that scored Rover, but Glacier was unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities despite collecting 11 hits.
Kyle Ashworth led the Range Riders offensively, going 3-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Rover added a pair of doubles while Ratfield and Steele each drove in a run.
Jared Engman struck out six over three innings for Glacier before Chris Canada took the loss in relief.
The Range Riders made things interesting in the ninth. A wild pitch scored Ashworth before Ratfield singled home Joe McLaughlin to cut the deficit to 5-3. Glacier brought the tying run to the plate before Missoula recorded the final out.
Jaren Jackson earned the win for the PaddleHeads, allowing one run over four innings.
