A woman reportedly tried to circumvent the rising costs of meat through a five-finger discount, loading a black and white Ram 3500 truck with about $130 worth of meat. An employee told police that they did get the meat back.

An employee trying to get through the workday was startled by a man growling in the dumpster. She told the Kalispell Police Department that she wasn’t sure he saw her and said all she could see was that he had dark hair and a black shirt. She was confident he would still be in the dumpster when officers arrived. He was moved along and banned from the U.S. 93 North property for a year.

A manager called the police, concerned that a swastika scribbled on a men’s stall along with the date 6/10/26 and the word “boom” could be a bomb threat. Police reportedly determined there was no specific threat or target. The manager asked for an incident report number to give to asset protection staff.

A drunk man wearing a black shirt, blue shorts and a baseball cap reportedly offered to buy beer for several middle school students. Someone snapped his portrait before he left in a hotel shuttle van.

A shoplifter reportedly returned to the scene of the crime and was spotted by asset protection staff in the electronics department. During his journey through jail, from booking to release, officers reportedly found a Montana driver’s license that didn’t belong to him. He claimed he found the ID at a Columbia Falls gas station.

A woman left work on West Idaho Street to find her car damaged as if someone had backed into it.

Officers received another call about an alleged hit-and-run that left a 3-foot-long scratch, dent and white paint transfer on someone’s vehicle.
