Law roundup: Contractor claims immigrant worker is extorting him
A contractor accused an immigrant who he described as in the country illegally of attempting to extort him over the phone. The contractor told the Kalispell Police Department that the man was threatening to vandalize job sites if he did not get money he said was owed to him for services rendered. After speaking with dispatchers, the contractor arranged to meet with an officer with evidence of the threats as well as proof that he had already paid the subcontractor for the work.
