Maintaining artistic excellence requires community investment

Having watched the truly remarkable achievement of North Valley Music School, I would like to add my heartfelt congratulations and admiration. Under the leadership of Executive Director Diedre Corson and a dedicated board of directors, the school has successfully raised $7.5 million for a new facility — an investment that will enrich the lives of aspiring musicians throughout the Flathead Valley for generations to come. This is an extraordinary accomplishment, and one our entire community should celebrate. 

I currently serve as president and board chair of the Glacier Symphony Orchestra and Chorale. For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of being involved with the symphony — as a musician, a board member and now again as president. Inspired by the example set by North Valley Music School, I would like to share more about Glacier Symphony and the vital role it continues to play in our region.
