School district land buy lacks strategy
Seizing on a rare opportunity to expand the “landlocked” Flathead High School campus, the Kalispell Public Schools board last week narrowly approved the purchase of two adjacent properties.
The contentious vote authorizes the district to buy the real estate at 435 and 445 Sixth St. W. at a price not to exceed the listing price of $550,000. Financing will come from the district’s $2.8 million interlocal fund.
