Governor honors state employees for assisting with I-90 crash

Gov. Greg Gianforte recently honored Cpl. Emily Verbanac and Cpl. Megan Vinyard of the Montana Department of Transportation’s Motor Carrier Services Division with his Outstanding Service Award for their lifesaving actions during an incident earlier this year in Mineral County.
“When Cpl. Verbanac and Cpl. Vinyard arrived at the scene and found two unconscious passengers in a snowbound vehicle, they did not hesitate,” Gianforte said. “Their quick thinking, training and decisive action in extreme winter conditions saved two lives.”
