Law roundup: Dog watcher is not an accessory to the crime

A woman who was reportedly worried about being considered an “accessory to the crime” called the Kalispell Police Department to let officers know that she was going to a friend’s grandchild’s house to pick up their dogs while they were incarcerated in Idaho, and was not partaking in any illegal activity at the residence.  

Someone alleged that the occupants of a black vehicle leaving a neighbor’s house had picked up or dropped off drugs. Although they didn’t see any drugs exchanged, they assumed that if a vehicle stopped at the location, “there would be drugs in it.” They also voiced concerns to the police that they were disliked by the occupants of the car and all their neighbors. Responding officers were reportedly cautioned that the caller had resisted arrest and assaulted officers before.
