A resident, unaccustomed to traffic on their street, which was temporarily part of a detour, called the Kalispell Police Department to complain about vehicles zooming through the neighborhood.

Officers received another call from a resident complaining about people driving too fast in the area due to construction. The caller requested extra patrols in the neighborhood.

A bicyclist went to the Police Department after narrowly missing being hit by a vehicle that blew through a stop sign. An officer told him they would attempt to identify the driver from a video and would meet with them to discuss her driving.

A man was reportedly punched by his brother while confronting him about things being taken out of the house he had kicked him out of a week ago.

A woman was screaming belligerently as she and another person were reportedly “banging around” a silver SUV with a camper trailer that was parked in front of the senior center. An ambulance responded when she complained about a broken wrist after punching something.

Someone driving a pickup allegedly thought a stranger’s driveway made a great parking spot. The resident called the police, saying the truck’s lights were on, but no one was around. Officers contacted the registered owner, who said they would move it, and provided an incident number to the resident to have it towed in case they didn’t.

A teenager wearing a hoodie with the words “Road Trip” on the back may have gone too far in acquiring snacks and supplies at a store. Security called the police, wanting to press charges after he allegedly stole a bag of chips, a drink and possibly candy before hitting the road.

Officers followed up with an employee who alleged that a man who purchased and resold alcohol to minors was married to a woman who did the same thing the previous week.
