Recycling brochure gets update

| May 13, 2026 12:00 AM

The WasteNot Project has released its 2026 Where to Recycle in the Flathead Valley brochure.

The WasteNot Project is a consumer education program that seeks to heighten awareness about solid waste issues while promoting ways to reduce the volume and toxicity of the waste stream.

Each year, the group updates the brochure with the current recycling opportunities in the Flathead.

Volunteers are being sought to distribute these brochures around the valley. Call 406-756-8993 for more information.

To download the brochure, visit wastenotproject.org.

The group is also in the process of updating its Fix-It Local Flathead brochure. This resource aims to reduce waste by providing a detailed guide of local businesses that can repair damaged goods.

Local professionals who would like to be included for free in the updated brochure are asked to contact Ben Peters at info@wastenotproject.org or 317-778-4191. Examples of services in the previous brochure include, but are not limited to, handyman services, tool repair, electronic and appliance repair, and sporting goods tune-ups.

The project is a collaborative effort between Citizens for a Better Flathead, the Flathead County Solid Waste District, and the Flathead Valley Community College Service Learning Program.
