Law roundup: Driver unnerved by supernatural man
A driver reportedly started their vehicle in a parking lot and was startled when the lights turned on, illuminating a man sitting in an older blue Chevy who “looked like a zombie” and did not respond to their high beams. The driver went home and reported the strange man to the Kalispell Police Department. The man was fine, and officers didn’t notice any signs of impairment, including resembling the walking dead.
A woman allegedly would not go gently into the night while moving out of her ex-boyfriend’s residence and was screaming and yelling. Her ex asked officers to come by and “handle her,” and said he would be waiting with a child in another room.
A caller raised his hackles when a dispatcher asked for more information about his complaint that people were sleeping near an intersection and the issue was ongoing. He reportedly declined to provide a phone number at which he could be contacted and said that dispatch "just needed to go over there and clean that (expletive) up.”
An assistant manager allegedly recognized a man sitting in the parking lot who had previously shoplifted from the store and wanted him kicked off the property.
A parent called with questions about serving his son with an eviction notice.
Someone was reportedly impersonating an individual on social media, asking for money. The individual told police that they had already tried reporting the matter to Instagram.
Officers were asked to check on the welfare of an elderly man who allegedly drove a blue Subaru off the road and hit dirt, then got back on the highway and continued driving.
A welfare check was requested for a woman sitting in a white minivan who was reportedly flailing her arms. The person making the request was allegedly concerned about her behavior, which “felt weird” to them. The woman was reportedly trying to fill water jugs at a gas station and was very upset at that moment, but would be on her way.
