Bulldog softball earns pair of victories against Browning
WHITEFISH — Elyse Sharpnack and Baylee Hyland helped Whitefish sweep a softball doubleheader from Browning with 17-1 and 17-2 victories Monday.
Whitefish (6-12) scored 10 runs in the first inning of the opener and added seven more in the second.
Jaylie Wymer collected two hits, while the Bulldogs drew 21 walks and stole seven bases in the win.
Elliot Gallagher earned the victory after allowing one hit and striking out eight over three innings. Whitefish also played error-free defense.
Whitefish used another fast start in the second game, scoring 10 runs in the opening inning on the way to a 17-2 victory.
Sharpnack finished 3 for 3 with three RBIs, while Hyland added two hits and three RBIs. The Bulldogs added seven more runs in the second inning and finished with 10 hits.
Hyland struck out seven and allowed one hit over three innings to earn the win as Whitefish stole 14 bases in the game.
