Law roundup: Rollicking party gets shut down
The hooting and hollering of revelers having a good time became too much for a resident as the clock neared 1 a.m. and they called the police. Although the party was a hoot and a holler, it was time to shut down.
Teens in a shopping cart were allegedly being pulled by their peers in a pickup through a parking lot. Kalispell Police Department officers spoke to three girls still at the scene, counseling them about their dangerous actions and advising their parents of the incident.
A woman’s brother reportedly rode with her to a gas station and then drove off, stealing the SUV. She was eventually reunited with her vehicle, and the man was released from custody.
A woman showed up at a neighbor’s house with a bloody elbow after her son reportedly threw her down and tried to choke her when he was prevented from taking things out of the apartment. An ambulance was called for a possible broken elbow. The son was in his 50s, was described as wearing pajama pants with a Homer Simpson print and possibly shirtless.
A hotel guest reportedly saw two vehicles drive up to a white, sporty sedan, and someone got out, messed with the car and left. About 10 minutes later, a navy blue, older SUV, possibly a Suburban, with a loud exhaust, pulled up and a grungy-looking man got out and used two metal bars to break into the vehicle, where he retrieved something and left.
A security guard called the police to relay second-hand information that four to five alleged transients were impeding business at a food truck by “making customers uncomfortable,” saying employees’ attempts to get them to leave were fruitless.
A man, who was allegedly removed from a property the previous night, was back making a scene and bothering other guests before going to his room. He was cited for the disorderly behavior and released to the hospital.
