Kalispell drug dealer convicted after selling to undercover agents

A Kalispell man brought up on drug dealing charges after selling cocaine and oxycodone to undercover agents in 2022 received a pair of suspended sentences in April.  

Prosecutors filed seven counts of felony criminal distribution of dangerous drugs against Allen Paul Parsons, 36, in October after he unwittingly sold narcotics to law enforcement between February and August 2022. Although Parsons entered not guilty pleas in Flathead County District Court at his Oct. 30 arraignment, he took a deal in February.  

In exchange for guilty pleas to two counts of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs, prosecutors agreed to recommend he receive a pair of suspended five-year sentences to the state Department of Corrections. 

Judge Paul Sullivan, who presided over the case, stuck to the agreement at Parsons' April 16 sentencing. He ordered the two sentences to run concurrent to one another, but consecutive to another sentence Parsons’ received in a 2020 aggravated assault case.  

Members of the Northwest Montana Drug Task Force targeted Parsons after learning he was selling cocaine in the Flathead Valley, according to court documents. They arranged the first of the drug buys in Kalispell in February 2022, walking away with three jewel bags containing cocaine. 

Investigators cemented a second deal in April, this time coming away with 7 grams of cocaine in exchange for $700, court documents said. Authorities allegedly purchased a 5-milliliter bottle containing oxycodone from him during a second meeting that month.  

In May 2022, Parsons allegedly sold the agent 3.81 grams of cocaine and later that month arranged for the agent to receive a half ounce of the drug. The following month, Parsons supplied the agent about 23 grams of cocaine. And in August, Parsons secured an ounce of cocaine for the agent, court documents said.
