The 6-foot St. Peter Claver medallion on the Mission Church ceiling. Plaster cracks and screw holes made during the repair process have been filled. Old varnish was removed and then paint colors were matched as closely as possible as it was repainted with a dry fresco method similar to that used originally.

Historic mission church restoration nearly completed
ST. IGNATIUS — After three summers of painstaking, intricate, loving labor and artistry, the lion’s portion of the St. Ignatius Mission Church restoration project is completed.
